Mashpee man indicted on salon peeping charges

BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) - A Mashpee man police say used his cellphone to secretly record female customers at the tanning salon he co-owned has been indicted on 22 charges.

Luis Macedo was indicted by a Barnstable County grand jury on 20 counts of photographing an unsuspecting nude person and two counts of posing/exhibiting a child in a lewd and lascivious fashion.
Authorities say the 48-year-old Macedo co-owned Sunsational Tanning in February when a 29-year-old client told police she'd noticed a camera hidden in her tanning bed room.
The Cape Cod Times reports that police caught Macedo as he positioned his cellphone in a changing room, and found a concealed peephole.
Police say they recovered videos from Macedo's cellphone.
The business shut down, but has since reopened under new ownership.
Macedo denies the charges.
