Marshfield man held without bail on rape charges

MARSHFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man who is accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in his home has been held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.

The man, 49-year-old Joseph Regan, was arraigned on Monday in Plymouth District Court, the Patriot Ledger reports.

Regan allegedly picked the teenager up and brought him to his house, sexually assaulted her and gave her alcohol, according to Marshfield Police Lt. Arthur Shaw.

He was arraigned on reckless endangerment of a child, indecent assault and battery and statutory rape charges, as well as selling or furnishing alcohol to person under the age of 21.

Shaw is concerned that Regan may have sexually assaulted other girls. Any potential victims are encouraged to call Marshfield Police Detective Greg Davis at 781-834-5591 ex. 141.
