MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Marlborough middle school was placed into lockdown as a precaution Friday after a concerning note was found.
School officials say Whitcomb Middle School was placed in lockdown just before 10 a.m. after an administrator found the note.
Police and fire crews were called in to investigate and students were evacuated for a short period of time.
Officials say there appears to be no threat to the safety of the students or faculty.
Details about the discovery of the note and its contents were not released Friday morning. An investigation is ongoing.
