• Mark Wahlberg calls out actors who compare their jobs to soldiers

LOS ANGELES (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Actor and Massachusetts native Mark Wahlberg lashed out against actors who compare their jobs to soldiers at war.

The comments came at a panel discussion at AFI Fest 2013, an annual movie festival free to the public sponsored by the American Film Institute.

An audience member got video of Wahlberg Monday night, which was also Veterans Day

According to TMZ, at the discussion someone in the audience asked a question about the rigorous training for his movie, "Lone Survivor." The movie is based on a failed 2005 SEAL Team 10 mission to capture a Taliban leader, and only one man from the team survived.

"For somebody to sit there and say 'my job was as difficult as being in the military.'  How f---ing dare you, while you sit in a makeup chair for 2 hours," Wahlberg said.

He continued, saying, "I don't give a s--t if you get your ass busted.  You get to go home at the end of the day.

Some thought Wahlberg was possibly alluding to an exchange Tom Cruise had recently with a lawyer in a libel lawsuit. The lawyer asked Cruise if he knew time away from his daughter, Suri, had been likened to serving in Afghanistan.

"That's what it feels like, and certainly on this last movie, it was brutal.  It was brutal," Cruise said in the deposition.

When the lawyer asked if Cruise felt the situations were the same, Cruise responded, "Oh come on. You know, we're making a movie."

A representative for Wahlberg told TMZ that the comments were not targeted at Cruise, however, according to TMZ.
