Manchester police investigate three home invasions

MANCHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Manchester, N.H. are investigating three break-ins that occurred in the area over the weekend.

The first home invasion happened at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Police said a Laurel Street woman was asleep on the couch in her living room when she awoke to see a person climbing out of her window. Police said the suspect apparently entered the home through an open window. The woman, who was unable to describe the suspect, told police her husband's wallet was missing from the apartment.

A short time later at another Laurel Street residence, a woman was asleep inside her apartment when a neighbor alerted her to an open window. According to police, it appeared someone was able to cut the screen and open the window, reach inside and take a laptop.

At about 1:50 a.m. Sunday, police responded to an Oakland Avenue for a report of a burglary in progress. When police arrived at the home, they met with the 32-year-old resident who said she awoke to find an unknown man entering her bedroom.

Police said the man was apparently startled when he encountered the woman and fled the scene. According to police, it appears he had entered through a rear window, knocking the blinds to the floor. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, about 5'6" to 5'7" with a thin build. He had short, dark hair and wore a dark blue shirt and blue jeans.
