Managers of Faneuil Hall looking to add large deck

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The managers of Faneuil Hall are looking to attract more locals and tourists alike to the area by adding a large deck.

According to the Boston Herald, the managers are asking for city approval to build the 61-foot by 31-foot year-round platform off the south side of Quincy Market. The space could be used for things like musical performances and yoga classes. It would reportedly include an outdoor reading room with books, a piano and chess table.

A spokesman for the Boston Redevelopment Authority says it expects to see master plans in the fall.
