Man warning others after he says iPhone 6 exploded

DEDHAM, Mass. — One customer is warning Apple users to think twice before updating your iPhone 6 to the newest version after his exploded.

Rooh Ibrar said his phone exploded as soon as soon as he unplugged it from his charger. His battery was at 85 percent.

“I take it out from the charge, it was so warm,” he said.

He heard sizzling, so he threw the phone to the floor and in a matter of seconds it exploded, he said, evening burning part of the wood floor.

“I close my eyes, hurt. Too much buzzing. Fire, I close my eyes I told myself I'm gone,” he said.

Ibrar said he’s lucky he’s okay, especially with some of the Galaxy Note 7 horror stories.

“I already know about the Note 7. Battery was exploding. That's why I threw away to the floor,” he said.

Ibrar said he always uses Apple products, and he used an apple iPhone charger and never had any third party repairs done to his phone. Ibrar thinks the newest 10.2 version update may be to blame

An Apple representative told FOX25 that the company is aware of the situation and will be in direct contact with the customer.

In the meantime, Ibrar is warning everyone, if you hear the phone buzzing, don’t go near it.
