Man survives being knocked into the air by car while crossing Brockton street

Three men are thankful they don’t have more serious injuries after being hit by a car Saturday morning in Brockton.

The crash happened as the men were leaving Dino’s bar and going home. One of them walks slowly and was getting helped by the other two when they were hit.

"One of those guys was on top of the car and thrown another 200 feet in the air and then [the driver] stopped,” Lucindo Soares, owner of Dino’s bar, said.

Surveillance video shows the crash.

Police said the victims are a 32-year-old and a 42-year-old from Brockton and a 23-year-old from California.

They were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, a 23-year-old woman from Brockton, told officers that she did not see the men and was doing the speed limit at the time. Police tell Boston 25 News the victims were not in a crosswalk.
