Man struck, killed by train in Mansfield

MANSFIELD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A man has died after being hit by a train in Mansfield Wednesday.

The Acela train was traveling from Norfolk, Va. to South Station when the man was struck at about 10:40 p.m. in the area of the School Street Bridge. Acela service was stopped in both directions for a time.

The man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not identified.

An investigation is ongoing.
