WEARE, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – The New Hampshire Attorney General's office says a man who was shot by police in Weare has died.
Police said the man, who was not identified, was suspected of dealing heroin. At some point during a meeting with officers and informants at Lanctot's Plaza, officers shot the man. It was not known what prompted police to shoot him.
Investigators said the man got into his car and drove to Route 114. According to the AG, the man eventually stopped, revealed he had been shot and was brought to a Manchester hospital, where he later died.
An autopsy is scheduled and an investigation is ongoing.
