Man seriously injured in motorcycle accident in Chelmsford

CHELMSFORD, Mass. — A man was seriously injured after his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Chelmsford Tuesday night, Police Chief James Spinney told Boston 25 News.

The crash happened just before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Acton Road and High Street.

The motorcycle driver, a 21-year-old man from Lowell, was seriously injured. He was taken by ambulance to Lowell General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV, a 41-year-old man from Chelmsford, stayed at the scene and was not hurt.

Chelmsford Police are investigating the crash.

The posted speed limit in the area where the crash occurred is 25 mph.
