Man in critical condition following Mattapan shooting

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A man in his 20s is in critical condition after being shot in the area of 640 Morton Street in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the area after receiving a report of a person shot at about 12:48 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital in critical condition.

The incident is under investigation.
