Man hit by Commuter Rail at Yawkey, rushed to hospital

BOSTON — A man was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries after he was hit by a Commuter Rail train at Yawkey Station, according to Boston EMS.

The superintendent told Boston 25 News a man was hit by the train on the Worcester Line just before 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to the station to assist in an investigation when the man was reported hit.

One side of the platform was cleared and passengers were transferred to the other side of the station.

MBTA officials said the 3:30 train from South Station was stopped at Yawkey and the line would be delayed for the evening commute.
