• Man held without bail in Revere teen's murder

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man accused of fatally shooting a 19-year-old store clerk in July 2013 was held without bail in Suffolk Superior Court Tuesday.

Elosko Brown is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of a firearm in the July 31 murder of Joseph Morante.

Prosecutors claim Brown was caught on surveillance cameras at businesses along Tremont Street as he headed toward the iWorld Accessories electronics store where Morante was working. Cameras inside the store reportedly captured Brown entering the store just after 1 p.m. with a backpack. Morante is seen on video approaching Brown as he looked at items inside a display case. The pair had a brief conversation before the 19-year-old walked back behind the case.

Shortly after Morante walked behind the case, Brown produced a firearm and pointed it at the teen's chest, prosecutors said. They further allege Morante then raised his hands and did not resist, but Brown shot him twice in the torso.

Morante fled the store as Brown reportedly raised the gun to his head and neck, but the gun did not fire. The 19-year-old ran to the corner of Tremont and Cunard streets where he fell to the ground. He was taken to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Prosecutors accuse Brown of stealing cell phones and a tablet computer before fleeing the store. He was identified through surveillance images released to the public.

Brown is due back in court March 4.
