NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) - Authorities in New Bedford are investigating the death of a 21-year-old man whose body was found outside an apartment building.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says the death of Raymond O. Sanchez is being investigated as a homicide.
Police tell The Standard-Times of New Bedford that they got a call about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday saying a man had been stabbed at a Liberty Street apartment.
Police Capt. Joe Cordeiro said investigators believe Sanchez died from a puncture wound.
Greg Milliote, a spokesman for District Attorney Sam Sutter, said Sanchez didn't live at the apartment where he was found.
An autopsy is being performed to determine exactly how Sanchez died.
