Man found dead in garage after fire in Lowell

LOWELL, Mass. — Fire officials say they found the body of a 31-year-old man while responding to a blaze at a Massachusetts condominium.

The Lowell Fire Department says they were called to the townhouse-style condo at around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday. Fire officials quickly contained the fire, limiting the damage to just two units.

Authorities say four occupants escaped, but firefighters found the man's body in the first-floor garage.

The fire department believes the fire started in the garage.

Officials have yet to determine the cause of death. Fire officials are working to identify the cause of the fire.

No name was released.
