• Man finds burglar in home, calls police while giving chase


    WEBSTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Webster say two men were arrested following a burglary attempt at a home on Cedar Drive.

    Police said a man came home to find a burglar attempting to steal his television. The burglar quickly ran from the home with the man giving chase.

    The man, while chasing the burglar, called police and told the dispatcher the burglar had jumped into a waiting car. The vehicle was located by officers a short time later.

    Police said 30-year-old Thomas McDonald, of Oxford, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), unarmed burglary and conspiracy. Francis Donahue, 23, of Webster, was charged with unarmed burglary, larceny over $250, wantonly injuring real or personal property and conspiracy.

    Both were held in lieu of $5,040 cash bail. They were arraigned at Dudley district court.
