Man dies after Boylston Street shooting

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Boston Police said a man has died after being shot on Boylston Street Thursday night.

Officers on patrol heard two or three gunshots in the area of Copley Square at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday. When officers arrived they found a man had been shot in the chest and was lying in the middle of the street.

The victim, who was in his 20s or 30s, was taken to Boston Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police were looking for a black male in a blue Hawaiian shirt in connection with the shooting. Officers said he was last seen running on Clarendon Street toward Tremont Street.

The shooting did not appear to be random, according to police.
