SHREWSBURY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Worcester man was arraigned Monday on drunk driving charges for a crash that has left a Lunenburg woman in critical condition.
The crash happened at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the Route 290 west onramp at Exit 23A in Shrewsbury.
Police say 50-year-old Charles Bohigian was drunk and under the influence of alcohol when he struck 38-year-old Katrina McCarty.
McCarty had just gotten into a single car accident, and was walking along the onramp when she was hit.
Bohigian's car dragged McCarty 150 yards before he stopped on Route 290, according to police.
McCarty suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where she was in critical condition as of Monday morning.
Bohigian was arraigned in Westoborough District Court Monday, facing a series of charges including driving under the influence of liquor, speeding, and leaving the scene of an accident.
This incident is Bohigian's second OUI arrest.
