Police in Tewksbury said they arrested a man who reportedly assaulted a pregnant woman in a motel room.
Police said 26-year-old Mark Silvia, of Boston, held the woman in a room at the Motel Caswell for more than two hours while verbally and physically assaulting her.
According to police, at one point the woman tried to run from the room. Silvia grabbed her and threw her back into the room. The woman told police that she hit the wall so hard she fell to the ground and hit her head on a table.
Silvia was charged with three different assault and battery charges, kidnapping and witness intimidation.
