PELHAM, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man was arrested for stealing approximately $35,000 in jewelry Wednesday in Pelham, New Hampshire.
Around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, police arrested Damon Bonnell, 36, of Pelham on a warrant for felony level receiving stolen property. Bonnell was out on bail from a previous Pelham arrest.
Police investigated a residential burglary on Thanksgiving Day; about $35,000 in jewelry was stolen from the home, along with a 9mm handgun. Detectives were able to identify the jewelry at a pawn shop in Salem.
A warrant was then issued for Bonnell's arrest for felony level receiving stolen property. He was also wanted on other warrants in Massachusetts and another warrant pending for a parole violation from the State of New Hampshire Department of Corrections.
Bonnell was found hiding on Marsh Road in Pelham. The residence was surrounded by police and he surrendered himself.
