Man arrested for OUI after alleged hit-and-run on bicyclist

REVERE, Mass. — State Police Troopers in Revere have arrested a man for allegedly driving drunk after he hit a bicyclist on Sunday morning.

Authorities received calls for a bicyclist struck at around 2:00 a.m. on Revere Beach Parkway. Callers reported the car that hit the bicyclist did not stay on scene and reportedly fled westbound on Route 16.

A short time later, Chelsea Police found and stopped the suspected vehicle in the hit and run, with the bicycle still attached to the front end of the car on Washington Avenue in Chelsea.

Josue Flores-Ochoa, 27, was arrested for an OUI, leaving the scene of a personal injury crash, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

The incident is under investigation by troopers assigned to the State Police Revere barracks.
