Man arrested after Back Bay stabbing

BOSTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A man was arrested in connection with a stabbing that resulted in one person sustaining life-threatening injuries in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood Saturday night.

The incident happened at around 8:20 p.m. Saturday at 275 Boylston St., near Exeter Street. A man in his 50s suffered serious stab wounds and was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police have not released the victim's name.

Officers arrested one suspect in connection with the stabbing. Stephen Gassett, who is also in his 50s, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police did not provide any other details regarding the incident. There was no update on the victim's condition Sunday afternoon.
