LUDLOW, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- State police arrested a man Sunday afternoon after receiving a report that a woman and an 11-month-old baby were kidnapped at gunpoint.
At around 2:10 p.m., the Worcester Police Department reported that the victims were forced into a white Lincoln car, that possibly had livery license plates, potentially heading west on Route 20 toward Springfield.
Roughly 20 minutes later, a Massachusetts State Police trooper spotted a car matching that description on I-90 in Palmer. After he confirmed that was the car Worcester police were looking for, he and other troopers pulled the car over in Ludlow.
Inside the car, police found the woman and baby seemingly unharmed. Police also recovered a handgun, which the man driving the car was not licensed to carry. The man, whose name has not been released, was arrested and taken to be booked in Charlton.
Police did not release the name of the woman or baby and did not say what crimes the man would be charged with committing.
The investigation is ongoing.
