Man accused of starting fire that displaced 7 in Boston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Boston police detained a man accused of intentionally setting fire to a building in Dorchester Saturday.

Boston fire responded to the scene of the fire at 8 Stonehurst Street just after 1:30 a.m. Fire could be seen coming from the second floor of the two-family home.

The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries. Five adults and two children were displaced by the blaze.

Investigators determined the fire was set. During their response, Boston police detained a man outside for breaking and entering. He is charged with breaking and entering, as well as arson of a dwelling. The unidentified man will be arraigned Monday on those charges.
