Man accused of driving drunk with 6-year-old son in car

BOW, N.H. — A New Hampshire man is facing several charges after he was accused of driving drunk with his 6-year-old son in the car.

Jacob Bath, 28, of Derry, was stopped on Route 3A in Bow around 9:45 p.m. Friday for traveling 66 mph in a 40 mph zone, according to police.

The officer said Bath showed signs of impairment and detected the odor of alcohol. Bath then agreed to a field sobriety test, which he failed and was subsequently arrested.

Bath, who has a previous conviction for driving while intoxicated, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and speeding.

The boy was released to a family member and Bath was released on bail.

He will be arraigned in court on April 24.
