Man accused of assaulting school chaperone on Green Line turns himself in

BOSTON — A man accused of harassing and attacking a woman chaperoning children on the T has turned himself, according to transit police.

Police were searching for the man, who has not yet been publicly identified after an incident on a Green Line train Friday.

Transit police say the man boarded the train with a dog at North Station. When the chaperone asked him to keep the dog away from the first and second grade students she was with, police say the man responded by shouting and using foul language in front of the children.

Police said the suspect even bragged about “killing people” for less.

“He was using foul and obscene language. He was threatening her including saying he would kill her and it was very traumatic and upsetting to the children," Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan said.

The man reportedly turned himself in, but police have not yet said if he has been charged.
