DENNIS, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A South Dennis man was fatally struck by a passing car at the intersection of Upper County Road and Center Street in South Dennis Saturday night.
Police responded to reports of a pedestrian struck at the intersection at about 8:35 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the 52-year-old Steven Theilman suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to Cape Cod Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The car involved is a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was being driven by 28-year-old Demion Bucknor, of Dennisport.
Following a preliminary investigation, officers concluded Theilman and another man had been walking north on Center Street approaching the intersection of Upper County Road when he suddenly ran across the road and was hit.
No charges have been filed at this point.
The crash remains under investigation.
