Major water main break reported in Norwood

NORWOOD, Mass. — Norwood police are warning residents to avoid University Avenue Thursday morning as crews work to repair a major water main break.

The break was reported in the area of 845 University Ave. around 1:20 a.m.

Police said the entire road has been closed to traffic until further notice, and there would be limited access for business owners.

Police said they would try and help owners get to their businesses as repair work continues.

No other information was released from police.
