WATERTOWN, Mass. — A 50-year-old man was seriously injured when an SUV hit him in Watertown Monday morning.
Police said the crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on Westertown Street near Aldrich Road in Watertown.

Watertown Street and Aldrich Road were closed for a few hours while the investigation continued. Police said preliminary evidence indicated the Toyota SUV was traveling westbound at the time of crash.

The victim has been taken to an area hospital. The driver remained on scene, said police.
