Lynn man shot, killed Friday night

LYNN, Mass. — A 29-year-old Lynn man died Friday night after a shooting in the Chestnut Street area.

Police were called to Lynn Union Hospital where the man was suffering from a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead.

Saturday morning, a police spokesperson told FOX25 the man was identified as Hanky Betancourt, of Lynn.

So far no arrests have been made.

The Massachusetts State Police, Essex County DA and Lynn Police Department are investigating.
