Lunenburg student transfers to Leominster

The Lunenburg student and football player who has been victim to alleged racism has transferred to a new middle school in Leominster, according to telegram.com.

Isaac Phillips, 13, transferred to the Leominster school system after weeks of alleged bullying by Lunenburg football players. After racist graffiti was sprayed on the boys' home, his family decided that it was time to make a change, according to telegram.com.

"We've had 10-days-plus of chaos, and with Thanksgiving coming up we just want to move on," Isaac's father, Anthony Phillips said.

The eighth grader has been attending his new school for the past three days, but will not play for the football team until next year.

"Isaac is happy in school and we are trying to get things back to normal. Isaac wants to move on from this and we want to let Isaac be happy," Anthony Phillips said.
