Lunenburg police investigate report of suspicious man

LUNENBURG, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police in Lunenburg are looking for a suspicious man who reportedly frightened a child.

Investigators say the child was playing outside in the area of West Street Sunday afternoon when the man stopped his car near the child. According to police, the man stared for several seconds and waved.

The child became alarmed and went inside to their parents.

The driver is described as a white man in his late 30s to mid 40s, with dark hair, a beard, and glasses. He was driving a small or mid-sized silver hatchback or station wagon.

Police say the car is similar to incidents that recently occurred in Leominster and Townsend.
