Lowell woman dies in Methuen crash

METHUEN, Mass. (AP) - Police say a Lowell woman was killed when her car struck a utility pole in Methuen.

Kerri-Ann Roberto was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling east on North Lowell Street just before 8 a.m. Monday when it crossed into the westbound lane, drove onto the sidewalk and struck a utility pole.

The 33-year-old Roberto was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver, 39-year-old Frank Arocho, of Lowell, was flown to a Boston hospital with serious injuries that are considered life threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.
