Things to do in Massachusetts this weekend

Mass — Looking for something to do this weekend? Boston 25 has a few ideas for you.

Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival

The Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival is underway at Revere Beach! The theme this year is Wonders of the World. The creations are amazing, and there are also food trucks and amusements to enjoy. Pro tip - if you don’t love crowds, the sculptures are on display in the mornings and even after the festival wraps up.

Yankee Homecoming

Farther north, Newburyport is kicking off its annual Yankee Homecoming celebration. The festival begins this weekend, runs all through the week, and ends next weekend. It features activities like a parade, fireworks, live music, and even some friendly contests and competitions. You can check out the daily schedule using the link here.

Movie Nights at Christopher Columbus Park

And after a busy weekend, what’s better than relaxing with a movie? If that sounds good, head over to Christopher Columbus Park in the North End this Sunday night to catch a free outdoor screening of “The Secret Life of Bees”, the movie begins at 8:20 p.m.

Wherever you go this weekend, have fun!
