Open Newbury Street

Get ready to stroll one of Boston’s best-known Back Bay streets vehicle free. This Sunday marks the first Open Newbury Street of the summer. Every Sunday until October 15, Newbury street will be for pedestrians only from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Parking will also be restricted, so take note of that.

Bands on the Beach

It’s Fourth of July weekend, and if you’re looking to enjoy a little beach time, why not do so with some live music? Bands on the Beach is happening at Salisbury Beach this Saturday, and every Saturday through the summer. The free beachfront concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Salisbury Beach Stage. As always, check before you head over to make sure the event isn’t canceled due to weather.

Quincy Patriotic Celebration on the Common

Speaking of 4th of July weekend, Quincy is celebrating the stars and stripes with its Patriotic Celebration this Sunday at 4 p.m. There will be music, lawn games, and food available for purchase on the Hancock Adams Common.
