LEXINGTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) An 80-year-old Lincoln man was seriously injured after a single car crash in Lexington.

Massachusetts State Police say the crash occurred around 1:20 p.m. on I-95 south at Route 2.

Preliminary reports suggest the 80-year-old left the Route 2 eastbound overpass and crashed his 2011 Honda Pilot onto the southbound lanes of the highway.

The man was transported to Lahey Clinic in Burlington with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The accident forced police to shut down the two southbound lanes of I-95 for nearly 45 minutes.
