Lil Wayne's Twitter account posts tweet after TMZ reports he was hospitalized

LOS ANGELES, Cali. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A tweet was posted on Lil Wayne's Twitter account just over an hour after TMZ reported that the rapper was hospitalized.

"I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love," read the tweet.

TMZ reported on Friday night that Lil Wayne was in the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a seizure. According to the entertainment website, the rapper was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital on Tuesday night after suffering multiple seizures.

The 30-year-old was released and then admitted to the hospital again on Wednesday after he was reportedly found unconscious in his room. TMZ claims Wayne did not stabilize after this incident and was placed in an induced coma.

Wayne's friend and fellow rapper, Mack Maine, took to Twitter shortly after TMZ posted their story to deny the report.

"Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game... thanks for the prayers and concern..he will update you all soon. #love," read his tweet.
