Level 3 sex offender charged in sex assault on girl at NH Walmart

PLAISTOW, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Level 3 sex offender from Haverhill, Mass. was arrested Monday night on charges he sexually assaulted a 9-year-old girl last weekend at the Plaistow Walmart.

Ronald R. Beausoleil, 33, was taken into custody after Rockingham County Sheriff's Deputy Matthew Caracciolo spotted his pickup truck in the parking lot of the Walmart and Home Depot on Route 125 just after 8:30 p.m., according to police. He faces charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault, theft (shoplifting), and operating after suspension.

The girl was looking at toys when police say the suspect touched her inappropriately.

Police had been searching for a white man with glasses and short blonde hair. Surveillance cameras also spotted the man's truck, a gray Chevy with Massachusetts plates.

Beausoleil was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in the 10th Circuit Court, Plaistow District Division.

According to the Mass. Sex Offender Registry, Beausoleil was convicted in 1999 for indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age and again in 2007 for attempted open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior.
