BROOKLINE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Level 3 sex offender from Brighton is accused of exposing himself to children at a library in Brookline.
Police say they arrested John A. Beyers on three counts of open and gross lewdness Friday.
Investigators responded to Coolidge Corner Library at about 4 p.m. Friday on reports of a male exposing himself to juveniles. They say during the investigation, Beyers was identified as a suspect and placed under arrest.
The 67-year-old, who is listed on the Sex Offender Registry Board as having 9 open and gross lewdness offenses dating back to 2001, is accused of exposing himself both on Friday afternoon and on the afternoon of Sept. 21.
According to MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo, Beyers was arrested by Transit Police on Aug. 6, 2010 for open and gross lewdness. The arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation into Beyers exposing himself to high school aged females in July 2010.
Beyers is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Brookline District Court.
