Less handcuffs, more cowboy hats at 2013 Country Fest

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A significant drop in arrests at the annual New England Country Music Festival suggests fans celebrated responsibly this year.

According to the Sun Chronicle, public safety officials saw a dramatic drop in the number of fans taken into custody between 2012 and 2013.

Over the two-night event at Gillette Stadium, 286 people were arrested. That's compared to 617 in 2012.

Officials told the newspaper that weather could have played a factor. They said it wasn't as hot this year, so people may not have been drinking as much to cool off.
