Leominster athletic director put on paid leave

LEOMINSTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Leominster school officials are investigating the Leominster High School athletic director after the superintendent suspended him without pay Friday.

Superintendent James P. Jolicoeur would not share much information regarding Athletic Director Chris Young and why he was put on leave, saying only that it was a "personal issue" and that he is "not at liberty to get into a lot of details."

Young's secretary, Robin Kowesky, was reassigned to the school district's central office, according to telegram.com. Central Office Administrator Lauren Cipolla was appointed interim athletic director. Cipolla used to be a physical education and health teacher, telegram.com said.

Jolicoeur also declined to comment on whether police would be involved in the investigation.
