Lack of rain means more high pollen counts

High pressure continues to dominate our weather bringing us sunshine and mild temperatures; however, it won't be perfect all week.

It is looking increasingly likely that another area of high pressure building south from Canada will force some cooler air our way. We call that a back door cold front. Those sometimes bring clouds and some drizzle or showers with them. That particular front would happen Thursday night into Friday. The clouds would come Thursday, though temperatures would be warm. The cooler air would be here Friday, with highs in the 50s a little further inland from the coast. We will get right back to sunshine and warm weather for the weekend.

Our rainfall deficit is over 2 inches for the year, so we could use some. There is no significant rain in the forecast right now through next week. That means more high pollen days and more dry gardens and yards.
