BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — Recent rainy days in South Florida have caused headaches for humans, but they aren’t the only ones affected. The soggy weather has taken its toll on animals as well.
A crew from the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue was called to rescue a kitten that sought shelter in the hood of a Toyota RAV4, Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesman Mike Jachles said Tuesday in a tweet.
Engine 14 arrived to find the soaked kitten peeking through the SUV’s grill. Firefighters were able to safely remove the small cat.
