Kettle stolen from Manchester, N.H. Salvation Army worker

Police in Manchester, N.H. said a Salvation Army kettle was stolen outside of a South Willow Street business Tuesday.

The reported theft happened outside of Hobby Lobby at about 7:30 p.m.

The bell-ringer told police that a man walked up to the kettle and acted as though he was going to make a donation. After making the donation, the man grabbed the kettle and ran toward the rear of the store.

Police said a Bedford man chased the suspect and saw him get on a bike a ride out of sight. Officers later found the empty kettle on Gold Street with a black hat they believe was worn by the suspect

The suspect was described as a white man, about six feet tall with a thin build. Anyone with information is asked to call Manchester police at 603-668-8711.
