Judge hears initial remarks in suit against The Kraft Group

(MyFoxBoston.com) – A judge heard initial remarks in a pre-trial hearing Monday for a lawsuit against The Kraft Group.

The lawsuit was filed by the families of 20-year-old Debra Davis and 19-year-old Alexa Latteo. Davis and Latteo were killed in a car crash in 2008 after attending a tailgate for the New England Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium.

Both of the victims were reportedly drinking.

Police said Latteo's blood alcohol level was at 2.4 at the time of the crash.

The families are pointing the finger at The Kraft Group for not properly checking identification or patrolling the tailgate.

The Kraft Group says even though the teenagers were on the property, the group can't be held liable as they did not supply the alcohol.
