(MyFoxBoston.com) -- Jonny Gomes took it upon himself to make sure the Red Sox met the president in style.
The 2013 World Series champs are set to meet President Barack Obama at the White House next Tuesday, and outfielder Gomes ordered American flag blazers for himself and his teammates in honor of the occasion. No word on whether or not the baseball players will actually wear the jackets to the White House.
The Red Sox organization tweeted out a photo of the blazer on Wednesday, as well as a close-up of one still in its packaging - saved to give to Obama himself.
"We have a gift for you," the Red Sox tweeted along with the picture. "Stars & Stripes blazers for all."
