Jeremiah O'Sullivan

The late Jeremiah O'Sullivan ran the U.S. Attorney's New England Organized Crime Strike Force and later became U.S. Attorney when Bulger and FBI Agent John Connolly were at their closest.

While Bulger's defense attorney claims it was O'Sullivan who granted Bulger immunity, he once told a Congressional committee that he was powerless to interfere with the FBI's informants for fear of the Bureau's retaliating.
