Wrong turn: Jeep ends up in condo pool

by: Michael Henrich Updated:

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - A Jeep crashed through a luxury condo building in Cambridge Thursday night and landed in a pool.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. at the Regatta Riverview Residency on Museum Way. The fire department told FOX25 that the Jeep ended up in the pool when the floor mat got stuck under the gas pedal.

A valet was trying to park the car at the time. Instead, the car jumped a curb, went through that wall and flew into the water.

It took a while for firefighters to get it back out because it was leaking gas and they were worried about starting a fire.

The valet worker was able to get out of the Jeep on his own and was treated by first responders at the scene.
