BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Jamaica Plain man was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after a stabbing in the North End.
The stabbing happened just after midnight on Sunday near Hanover and Blackstone streets. One man was stabbed during an altercation, receiving a stab wound to his upper body, which is believed to be non-life threatening.
After the incident, nearby witnesses detained the suspect until police arrived. Boston police officers arrested 29-year-old John Driscoll, of Jamaica Plain, and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, as well as assault with intent to murder.
Driscoll will be arraigned Monday in Boston Municipal Court.
